| Description |
The MV Dania, a de-commissioned cattle freighter, was artificially sunk for wreck diving purposes in 2002. The dive begins with a descent to 25 m down a reference line to the bow, drifting towards the stern and engine room. Big shoals of snapper and sweet lip are found hovering over her decks, as well as several large resident potato grouper. Underwater torches are used to peek inside the engine room and other openings, often spotting moray eels and lion fish. The Dania has attracted a variety of marine life that have now claimed her as their permanent home. A thrilling dive. Not for the novice diver. Weather permitting. |
